1977 Tartan 30 Bristol RI

in Bristol, RI

$10,000

Features

  • Diesel

Seller note:

This 1977 Tartan 30 is a great example of the classic Sparkman and Stephens design. The previous owner replaced the original engine with a Universal M203B 18 hp 3 cylinder diesel engine new in 1999. The engine is fresh water cooled. The engine has approximately 1,000 hours. Access to the engine is ideal in the main salon just aft of the mast. This is the aft galley model that provides sleeping accommodations for up to six.
The sail inventory includes a Triradial Dacron/Technora/Mylar fully battened mainsail in very good condition; a Triradial 140% rolling genoa new in 2005; a Hood 110% genoa; a Hood 65% jib; a Hood 150% genoa. The back stay is adjustable, split with wire bridle over wire-block Harken/Ronstan tensioning ring to 4:1 Ronstan block and tackle. A whisker pole is included.
A full complement of cabin cushions was purchased in 2003. New Sunbrella mainsail cover and dodger were added in 2001. A long list of miscellaneous items including but not limited to a Lifesling, horseshoe life ring, bell, horns, boat hook, dock lines, fenders, windex and many spare parts are included with this great sailboat.
This Tartan 30 is for sale as the current owner has moved up to a larger sailboat. Some cosmetic work on the keel has been started by the seller but still needs to be complted. Also, the pulpit was bent in a collision with a piling and also needs to be repaired. As a result of these projects that need attention, the price has recently been reduced to $10,000 or best offer. It is currently on-the-hard in Essex, CT.
